I started saving for my first multi-family investment property fresh out of college. At that time I was teaching open ocean sailing in outdoor ed programs from the Pacific to the Atlantic. It was sailing that brought me to Portland in 2009. I expected it to be a temporary stay while I completed my USCG Merchant Marine licensing exams, but I fell in love with the coast, the people, the community, and of course the restaurants. I never left.

In my early years here, I worked in the Portland startup world, honing my business development and sales skills. In 2013 I purchased my first investment property, a real fixer-upper 5-unit on the Portland peninsula. That experience ultimately led me to my real estate license and I began helping others achieve their real estate goals.

I live in Portland with my husband, Nathan, our two littles, Eloise and Odin, and our goofy doodle, Baloo. Life in Portland is the perfect balance. It offers all of the amenities of urban living without sacrificing easy access to nature. We have James Beard winning menus, world class art, and a thriving downtown and yet within 5-60 minutes from our front door we have beaches, woods, marshes, mountains, islands, rivers, lakes. That nature is precious to our lifestyle here, which is why I am Co-Chair of the Maine Coast Heritage Trust Next Wave Group, a group of donors 50 years or younger who believe in protecting and conserving the Maine Coast, promoting coastal resilience to climate change and ensuring community access for all. I'm also actively engaged with a variety of organizations around Portland. Nearest to my heart is the Center for Grieving Children, where I have previously held a long term weekly volunteer position facilitating a bereavement group for kids. I now occasionally substitute when needed.
