April has lived on Mount Desert Island for most of her life, growing up in Hulls Cove and now residing in Bar Harbor. April has lived on Mount Desert Island for most of her life, growing up in Hulls Cove and now residing in Bar Harbor. After graduating from Mount Desert Island High School in 1990, she moved to the Midwest to study saxophone, voice, and music education at Michigan State University. Following graduation, April spent several years living outside of Boston before returning to Maine to teach music at Beech Hill School in Otis.

In 1999, April shifted her focus to raising her three children and relocated to York, Maine. However, she missed the strong sense of community, natural beauty, and outdoor lifestyle that Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park offer. In 2012, she returned to Bar Harbor to raise her family on the island where she grew up. The area's welcoming community, down-to-earth values, and close family connections made the decision an easy one.

Over the years, April has developed a deep appreciation for Acadia’s carriage roads and hiking trails. Running, walking, and hiking throughout the park are among her favorite daily activities.

In 2013, April began working at Conners Emerson School in Bar Harbor as an Education Technician and music instructor. She has found great fulfillment in teaching adaptive music classes for younger students and building meaningful relationships with seventh- and eighth-grade students in special education.

Outside of her work in education, April enjoys performing with local musicians, teaching private music lessons from her home in Bar Harbor, and volunteering with the YWCA. Her passion for connecting with people naturally led her to a career in real estate. April loves building relationships with both buyers and sellers and appreciates the unique experiences and opportunities that every transaction brings. She is excited to help clients achieve their real estate goals while continuing to serve the community she proudly calls home.
