With over 40 years of experience as a Realtor and in property management, Mary Merkley brings extensive market knowledge and business acumen to her clients. Beginning her career in New Hampshire, Mary quickly took to real estate, building an impressive resume with multiple well-respected brokerages where she established herself as an expert in new construction sales.

After building her business and gaining valuable hands-on experience, Mary decided to open her own brokerage near her home in Dover, NH in 2001, East Coast Properties, LLC. During this time, Mary built + managed a thriving business + added to her expertise by earning the Senior Residential Specialist Designation with the National Association of Realtors. This certification improved her knowledge in helping seniors make decisions around relocation.

In 2024, Mary decided to join Portside Real Estate Group, impressed by the supportive + welcoming atmosphere where she felt the culture echoed her own passion for caring deeply about her clients + community.  

In addition to her business, Mary is also an active community member, volunteering with her local church, nursing homes, and hospice center. She and her husband have also fundraised for various local charities in the local community, feeling the importance of supporting the community they are a part of.

Mary also loves playing golf, and is an accomplished professional artist, spending her free time in her own oil painting studio! Together, Mary and her husband also enjoy the saltwater life with many years of sailing and boating adventures.
