Peter Flanders is a Maine-based real estate professional, developer, and community leader with deep roots throughout Maine, Vermont, and New York. Raised in the historic, culturally rich town of Saratoga Springs, NY, Peter’s early appreciation for architecture, music, culinary arts, history, and community shaped a lifelong commitment to thoughtful place-making. Summers in Wells and time in Portland deepened his coastal Maine ties, while years in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom fostered an appreciation for rural life.

Peter moved to Auburn, ME in 2005 before relocating with his wife Allison and their blended family to Falmouth. Their four now grown children live in Auburn ME, Cumberland, ME, and Lebanon, NH. Two years ago, Peter and Allison moved to Cape Elizabeth, ME; in what they believe to be the couple’s forever home.

A career auto-industry leader for thirty-seven years, Peter served as service manager, finance manager, general manager, and most recently director of business development for the state’s largest automotive group. He recently retired from that industry to pursue his passions: real estate sales, design, architecture, hospitality, and community development.

Peter founded and leads Great Falls Development Group, a residential real estate development and management company active for eighteen years in the Lewiston+Auburn community, and Corner Pocket Properties, its commercial arm. His projects include rehabs, property management, rental properties, and hospitality ventures such as Sonder & Dram and bon Vivant in Lewiston. With two decades of hands-on experience managing his own portfolio and decades of business, marketing, and leadership experience, Peter brings a rare combination of operational savvy, design sensibility, trade knowledge, and local-market insight to both residential and commercial real estate clients. He applies these skills plus strong negotiation and communication in service of his clients.

Outside work, Peter enjoys family, cooking, hospitality, reading, landscaping, design, and outdoor life. He and Allison most enjoy spending time together; traveling, camping, hiking, walking, kayaking, fishing, swimming, reading side-by-side, and sharing time at camp on the lake and time at the ocean. They cherish moments with their children and are proud of the adults their kids have become. Peter is an active volunteer and board member with local groups and nonprofits. He remains deeply committed to helping Maine grow in ways that honor history, community, and sustainable development.
