Autumn Equinox at the Audubon 2021 Recap!

Portside's Autumn Equinox at the Audubon event returned on Sep. 22, 2021 to the Maine Audubon. Over 400 attendees gathered safely outside at the Maine Audubon in Falmouth for a night of food trucks, local craft beers and live music!

Attendees enjoyed delicious food from Athena's Cantina, Lil Easy SnoBalls, PB&ME and The Marshmallow Cart. Local craft beers were donated by Austin Street Brewing, Bunker Brewing, Allagash Brewing and Banded Brewing. Banded Brewing brought their collaboration beer that was brewed with the Maine Audubon!

Portside is please to announce that this year's Autumn Equinox at the Audubon was our biggest fundraiser to date with over $22,000 raised for the Maine Audubon!

These funds will be used to support the Maine Audubon operations and programs, including increased efforts to reach a broad, diverse and traditionally underserved population through environmental education efforts and activities. The Audubon plans to expand their diversity efforts through: Education to inspire the next generation of environmental advocates, prioritize equity and inclusion in programming decision and allocations, provide resources to increase environmental literacy, and embrace and expand their role as Maine's bird and birding lead through more accessible programming.
