Returning for its ninth season, our annual celebration will feature new walking routes and paths to explore, as well as some new vistas and old friends (hello, Wade the Moose!). With more than 750,000 LED lights woven through 14 acres of central gardens, the Gardens is amplifying the brightest light display in Maine. All tickets must be purchased in advance; no tickets will be sold onsite.

Downtown Bath, ME
This year, come explore Bath’s Gingerbread Downtown! Have extra sweet fun, exploring all the corners with our Candyland Game! Details TBA! Come enjoy Late Evening Shopping in all the downtown shops. Cocoa will be available from the Bath Elementary PTA. The Salvation Army Brass Band will be stationed at Elm Street Plaza (next to Country Farm Furniture). Christmas Season Costumed Characters will be wandering through town ready for you to meet! Think Elf, Olaf, Reindeer and more! You may even see characters from the upcoming show “Twisted Christmas”!
Santa and Mrs. Clause will be around to meet with and when they aren’t walking through town they will be at the inflated Snow Globe located next to Brackett’s Market.
Tonight is Trolley Caroling as well. There are no tickets, it is first come first serve with stops for pick up at the Bus Stop near City Hall every half hour from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

Start the day off with pancakes with Santa! Mae’s Cafe 8am and J.R. Maxwell & Co. Restaurant at 9am (kids menu available for this) Santa’s ATV Parade will start at 11am and do loops through town. Candyland games will be activated for the second time (more chances to win!) and we will see the Shetland Yard Stable ponies back again this year!

Each year, Visit Freeport presents one of Maine's most popular holiday celebrations, Sparkle Celebration. The 2023 festival kicks off in Freeport on Friday, December 1, 2023 with the Sparkle Celebration Parade of Lights, which ends with Santa arriving to bring our famous talking Christmas Tree to life!
