Portside MidYear 2025: Fueling Connection, Impact & Momentum

Portside 2025 MidYearOn July 17th, Portside Real Estate Group gathered agents from across Maine and New Hampshire for our annual MidYear 2025—a high-energy, purpose-driven day centered around learning, local connection, and forward momentum. Building on the “Thrive in 2025” theme introduced at this year’s Portside Summit, the event delivered more than insight—it sparked action.

We kicked off the day with a look at real estate as a platform for good, highlighting our latest 1% Back grant recipients and diving into how our agents are engaging in meaningful community work across Northern New England. This wasn’t just about recognition—it was a rallying point for how we, as local experts and neighbors, can lead with heart and make a tangible impact.

Throughout the day, Portside agents led from within, sharing their unique strengths in interactive panels and breakout sessions. From uncovering your “real estate superpowers” to strategizing how to win listings and deepen client relationships, these sessions reflected the power of peer learning within a community that values both collaboration and excellence. Agents from Portsmouth to Bar Harbor showed up—not just to take notes, but to take ownership of their growth.

Midway through the day, Maine State Economist Amanda Rector brought the data to life with a sharp, informative look at the New England economic forecast. Her insights gave our agents a competitive edge in understanding regional trends, helping them guide clients with confidence and clarity.

Later, the focus shifted to one of the most critical conversations in real estate today: affordable housing in New England. Local leaders Ryan Fecteau, Sally Costello, and Ed Gardner joined us to share both the challenges and opportunities in this space—empowering agents to move from market experts to regional advocates for access, equity, and housing opportunity.

To close the day, Portside Principal and Founder Dava Davin took the stage with a powerful reflection on where Portside began 13 years ago, and how that vision has shaped the bold, values-led brokerage we are today. Her words were a reminder that we’re not just growing—we’re evolving, together. And the future we’re building? It’s local, it’s innovative, and it’s deeply human.

At Portside, we believe real estate can—and should—do more. MidYear 2025 wasn’t just an event. It was a spark. A moment to recommit to what makes us different: local roots, fierce expertise, and a relentless commitment to doing real estate the right way.
