Portside's popular Autumn Equinox at Maine Audubon event returns for the 8th year on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Maine Audubon's Gilsland Farm campus in Falmouth. Sticking to tradition, attendees will enjoy night food trucks, local craft beer + wine, lawn games, and live music!
The 2024 Autumn Equinox was our best year ever with record attendance and raising over $20,000 for Maine Audubon! For 2025, we are hoping to top those numbers and will be adding more activities for participants to enjoy at the Gilsland Farm campus. In 2024, we brought axe throwing to the Audubon, and we are thrilled to have them back again this year!
Funds raised from the 2024 Autumn Equinox went toward expanding Audubon's diversity efforts through Education to inspire the next generation of environmental advocates, prioritizing equity and inclusion in programming decisions and allocations, providing resources to increase environmental literacy, and embracing and expanding its role as Maine's bird and birding lead through more accessible programming. All proceeds raised this year at the 2025 event will be used in the same capacity to continue making environmental education and literacy available to all.
