Located in the center of Belgrade Lakes village, Day’s convenience store has just about anything you might have on your shopping list, along with specialty items and homemade pizza. It’s one-stop shopping for a little bit of everything, including fishing licenses, local maps, groceries, gasoline, and even movie rentals for rainy days.
Christy’s Country Store

Christy’s Country Store is located just five miles south of the village on Route 27. Christy’s is a great place to stop for gas and supplies.
Augusta & Waterville
Larger grocery stores and big chain stores (Shaw’s, Hannaford, Walmart
Supercenter, etc.) can be found in Augusta and Waterville, both about 20
minutes from the Belgrade Lakes.

Village Inn

The Village Inn is located close to the post office in Belgrade Lakes village; arrive by car or dock your boat at their facilities on both Long Pond and Great Pond. This seasonal restaurant is known for their award-winning roast duck, they have an extensive menu including fresh seafood, meats and appetizers. Dress is casual; reservations are highly recommended.
Sadies Boathouse Restaurant

Sadie's Boathouse Restaurant is located at Great Pond Marina, overlooking beautiful Great Pond. We offer a relaxing environment with great service, amazing cocktails, hearty, contemporary American fare and the view is breathtaking. Reservations recommended.
Sunset Grill

The Sunset Grill is located a half mile south on Route 27. Enjoy a casual setting for lunch or a relaxing night out. Top menu items include prime rib, burgers, and fried seafood. Visit them Friday and Saturday nights for karaoke
Augusta & Waterville
You can find many of the chain restaurants such as Applebee’s, 99 Restaurant, Ruby Tuesday, Texas Roadhouse, Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant, Longhorn Steakhouse, and more in these cities, just 20 minutes away.

Sugarloaf Golf Club

Located on Sugarloaf Mountain, this course is a Robert Trent Jones designed course, located
about one hour from the village of Belgrade.
HIKING nearby the Belgrade Lakes
There are many great hiking opportunities in the Belgrade Lakes
region and the surrounding towns; you can get a local map of the
Kennebec Highlands Trails at
Day’s Store. These
trails, maintained by the Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance
(BRCA), are well-marked and range from “easy” to “more difficult.”
Some of the local favorites include:
Blueberry Hill
Drive to the top or take about 10 minutes for this easy hike and
enjoy awesome views of Great Pond and Long Pond.
The Mountain
Easy-to-moderate trail right outside the Village. Take Route 27 to
Mountain Road and go about 1 mile into the parking area — this hike
takes about 30 minutes.
French Mountain
Hike about a mile from Watson Pond Road to reach a rocky precipice
with expansive views of Long Pond. The hike takes from 10 to 30
minutes.
Mount Phillip
This is a 1.4-mile loop, starting from a parking area on the north
side of Route 225, directly across from Starbird Lane. Hike all the
way in until you reach a partial summit clearing at 755′. From here
you can enjoy views of Great Pond to the south and the Kennebec
Highlands to the west.
The BCRA is the land trust dedicated to conserving the lands, water quality, and natural heritage of the Belgrade Lakes region in Maine.

Founded in 1937 as the Augusta Players, Gaslight is the oldest

carriage trails, and shopping in downtown Bar Harbor.
Whitewater rafting
Explore the Kennebec, Dead or Penobscot Rivers while experiencing
the adrenaline rush of whitewater rafting. Several whitewater
outfitters provide rafting experiences complete with an open-grill
meal.
Moose Watching
One of the best places to see a moose is Rangeley, a little over an
hour away. If you have never seen a moose, this is a must!
