Winter can be fun!
Shorter days and colder weather are on the horizon. That doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! Check out our top three ways to enjoy winter.
GET outside
Winter is a great time to get outside! From fat tire biking, snowshoeing, and ice skating, there are many ways to enjoy the outdoors. Hit the slopes at Pleasant Mountain, Sunday River, Camden Snowbowl, or Sugarloaf. Or take a walk on a Portland trail, Rachel Carson Preserve, or cross country ski at Pineland Farms. You could also live it up at Prelude in Kennebunk or try ice climbing for the first time!
Play tourist
It’s locals’ season! Winter is the perfect time to visit that new hot restaurant or your favorite local museum. We suggest checking out the latest exhibits at the Portland Museum of Art, Seashore Trolley Museum, Museum of New Art, or Farnsworth Art Museum.
Get cozy
The winter months are the perfect time to curly up next to a fire with a good book! Here are a few set in New England: The Remedy for Love, The Lobster Kings, and Tall Tales from the Tall Pines.
